Studies show that even the best of drivers have a tendency to overestimate their driving abilities. This could have serious, even deadly, consequences when suddenly faced with a dangerous situation that requires highly developed decision-making skills and quick reactions.

To reduce crashes and improve highway safety, it is essential that commercial drivers fully understand proper stopping and skid control techniques that are unique to the type of vehicle they operate.

At the Michigan Center for Decision Driving (MCDD) and the Upper Peninsula Decision Driving Course (UPDDC), professional truck drivers learn decisiondriving techniques both in the classroom and in actual hands-on activities utilizing the facilities' skid courses.

MCDD is an all-day course in Marshall, Michigan. Class hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm. Please arrive no later than 7:45 am. Participants that arrive late will need to be rescheduled. There is a $50.00 charge for each Michigan driver attending MCDD. Call 800-325-6733 to schedule your training.

UPDDC can either be an all-day or half-day course in Escanaba. There is a $25 charge for each Michigan driver attending for UPDDC. Call 800-469-7364 to schedule your training.
